Boeing’s recent success at the Farnborough Airshow saw the American aircraft manufacturer secure a substantial order from Korean Air. The order includes at least 40 wide-body jetliners, showcasing confidence in Boeing despite recent struggles. The delayed 777X jetliner, which recently began certification flight tests with the FAA, emphasizes Boeing’s commitment to delivering on its promises to customers. Korean Air’s CEO, Walter Cho, expressed confidence in Boeing’s ability to overcome current challenges, stating, “If I wasn’t assured, I would not have ordered it.”

In addition to the order from Boeing, Korean Air also placed an order for competing Airbus A350-1000 aircraft earlier this year. Despite increasing competition, Boeing’s ability to secure orders such as this one from Korean Air demonstrates its resilience in the market.
