Disney Entertainment Television made a huge splash at San Diego Comic-Con this year with a variety of activations that showcased the breadth of their content. From ABC’s Abbott Elementary hosting A.V.A. Fest with a carnival full of games and goodies to Hulu’s Animayhem activation highlighting beloved series like Family Guy and The Simpsons, there was no shortage of entertainment for con-goers to enjoy.
At the A.V.A. Fest, attendees were treated to a swing carousel, performances by the Philadelphia Eagles drumline, a giant slide, a high striker, water guns, and even an arts and crafts section. Inside the Animayhem activation, fans could have their stress levels “detected” by a high-tech machine from Solar Opposites, which would spit out a Goobler based on their mood. The opportunity to create a dance video with characters from Bob’s Burgers and see scenes from old episodes of Family Guy added an extra layer of interactive fun.
The FX area at Comic-Con also offered a host of activities from some of their biggest hits like The Bear and American Horror Story. Aspiring chefs could step into The Bear – Carmy and Sydney’s upscale Chicago restaurant – for a photo op, while fans of American Horror Story could experience the Hellevator showcasing iconic moments from the series. Additionally, attendees could visit Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or the vampire’s Staten Island mansion from What We Do in the Shadows for some unique photo opportunities.
To beat the summer heat, custom sunshades were available at various activations to keep attendees cool and comfortable. And for those looking to take home a piece of the experience, there were opportunities to snag aprons, take photos, and immerse themselves in the worlds of their favorite shows. With activities running throughout the entire Comic-Con weekend, there was never a dull moment for fans of Disney Entertainment Television and FX series.
The activations at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 from Disney Entertainment Television and FX provided fans with an unforgettable experience. From interactive games and activities to unique photo opportunities, con-goers were able to fully immerse themselves in the worlds of their favorite shows. With a variety of offerings for fans of all ages, these activations truly brought the magic of television to life at Comic-Con.
